Creator Agreement
The agreement text is currently available in English only.
Effective date: October 1, 2026
This Creator Agreement ("Agreement") is between you and [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] ("we," "us," or "our"). It governs any video, series, episode, cover image, title, description, tag, or other material you upload to Wondali (collectively, "Content").
This Agreement supplements our Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, Copyright & DMCA Policy, Likeness & Voice Rights Policy, Enforcement & Appeals Policy, Monetization Terms when applicable, and the other policies referenced in those documents.
If this Agreement conflicts with our Terms of Service regarding your Content, this Agreement controls.
1. Agreement and Eligibility
1.1 Acceptance
By uploading Content to the Service, you agree to this Agreement.
If you do not agree, you must not upload Content.
1.2 Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to upload Content.
If you are under 18, you must have permission from your parent or legal guardian to use the Service and upload Content.
Earning money from your Content, when monetization becomes available, will require you to:
-
be at least 18 years old, or satisfy any alternative requirements we expressly permit;
-
complete any required identity verification;
-
provide required tax information; and
-
satisfy the requirements of our payment providers and Monetization Terms.
1.3 Uploading for Someone Else
If you upload Content on behalf of a studio, production company, organization, team, employer, or other entity, you confirm that you are authorized to act on its behalf and bind it to this Agreement.
1.4 The Deal in Plain Words
Here are the key terms in simple language.
You keep ownership of your Content. Uploading Content to the Service does not transfer copyright or ownership of your work to us and does not give us exclusive rights to it.
Your relationship with us is non-exclusive. You may continue to publish, distribute, license, sell, monetize, or otherwise use the same Content on YouTube, TikTok, social media, other streaming or entertainment platforms, your own website, or through other channels.
You give us a non-exclusive license to host, store, encode, reproduce, display, stream, distribute, share, promote, and otherwise make your Content available as necessary to operate and promote the Service.
When monetization features become available and you choose to participate, we may also make your Content available for paid access, unlocking, sale, licensing, or other commercial distribution in accordance with the applicable Monetization Terms.
You are responsible for having all rights and permissions necessary for everything contained in your Content, including scripts, stories, characters, footage, images, music, sound effects, voices, likenesses, fonts, and other materials.
Do not use a real person's face, body, or voice without the permissions required by this Agreement. Certain AI-generated or AI-altered depictions of real people are prohibited even if consent is claimed.
Nudity and sexual content are currently prohibited. Sexual content involving minors is never permitted.
We may make your Content available through creator pages, feeds, search, recommendations, shareable links, and other discovery features, but we do not guarantee any minimum level of promotion, traffic, views, impressions, followers, audience growth, purchases, or revenue.
You may promote your own Content outside the Service and share links that direct viewers to Wondali to watch, unlock, or purchase your Content when those features are available.
During beta, we do not pay creators. When creator monetization launches, earnings will be governed by our separate Monetization Terms.
2. Ownership and License
2.1 You Keep Ownership
As between you and us, you keep whatever ownership and intellectual property rights you have in your Content.
We do not claim ownership of your Content merely because you upload it to the Service.
Your relationship with us is non-exclusive. You remain free to publish, distribute, license, sell, monetize, or otherwise use the same Content elsewhere.
2.2 License to Us
You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license, with the right to sublicense rights as reasonably necessary to our hosting providers, payment providers, content delivery networks, technology vendors, moderation providers, and other service providers acting on our behalf, to:
-
host;
-
store;
-
cache;
-
encode;
-
transcode;
-
reproduce;
-
display;
-
publicly perform;
-
stream;
-
distribute;
-
transmit;
-
make available;
-
promote; and
-
otherwise technically process
your Content on and through the Service.
This license allows us to:
-
show your Content on your creator page, Content pages, feeds, search results, recommendations, collections, and other areas of the Service;
-
make Content available at shareable links to viewers, with or without an account where permitted;
-
recommend or surface your Content through feeds, search, discovery features, editorial selections, or other features at our discretion;
-
show advertisements before, during, after, or around your Content, including advertisements viewers may watch to unlock episodes or other Content;
-
create thumbnails, previews, promotional images, excerpts, and clips or trailers of up to 60 seconds for the purpose of promoting your Content or the Service;
-
use those promotional materials on the Service, our websites, social media accounts, advertisements, marketing channels, and promotional materials;
-
make technical changes necessary to operate the Service, including transcoding, compression, resizing, reformatting, cropping for different screen sizes, adding captions, and creating translations, provided those changes do not materially change the meaning of your work; and
-
perform other technical processing reasonably necessary to make the Content available through the Service.
Where monetization features are available and you choose to participate in them, this license also allows us to offer, unlock, sell, license, or otherwise commercially make your Content available to viewers in accordance with the applicable Monetization Terms.
The license granted under this Section is royalty-free as a license grant. That does not eliminate any creator earnings or revenue share that may separately become payable to you under our Monetization Terms.
2.3 Non-Exclusive Distribution
The license you grant to us is non-exclusive.
You may continue to:
-
upload the same Content to other platforms;
-
distribute it through social media;
-
license it to other companies;
-
sell it through other services;
-
show it on your own websites or applications;
-
monetize it elsewhere; or
-
otherwise exploit your rights in the Content.
Nothing in this Agreement requires your Content to be exclusive to Wondali.
If we later want exclusive rights, limited exclusivity, first-window rights, or another special distribution arrangement for particular Content, that arrangement must be agreed to separately in writing by you and us.
2.4 Duration
The license granted under this Agreement lasts while your Content remains available on the Service.
When you delete Content or your account is terminated, we will stop making the Content publicly available within a reasonable period of time, subject to the following exceptions.
We may retain copies where reasonably necessary for:
-
legal compliance;
-
fraud prevention;
-
safety investigations;
-
dispute resolution;
-
enforcement;
-
backup systems; or
-
internal record keeping.
Copies stored in backup systems may remain until they are deleted through our ordinary backup cycle.
Promotional clips, posts, advertisements, social media posts, or other promotional materials that were lawfully created and published while the Content was available may remain publicly accessible after you remove the Content where removing them is impractical, provided we do not newly use those materials to initiate a new promotional campaign after termination unless otherwise permitted by law or agreement.
2.5 Your Name and Creator Identity
You allow us to use your:
-
creator name;
-
username;
-
profile image;
-
channel or studio name;
-
Content titles;
-
Content descriptions; and
-
reasonable descriptions of your Content
to identify you as the creator of the Content and to operate, display, market, and promote the Content and the Service.
2.6 No Obligation to Promote or Generate Traffic
Uploading Content does not guarantee that your Content will be:
-
recommended;
-
featured;
-
promoted;
-
included in feeds;
-
included in search results;
-
shown to any particular number of users; or
-
kept available indefinitely.
We may recommend, feature, promote, rank, or surface Content at our discretion.
We may change our recommendation, search, ranking, and discovery systems at any time.
We do not guarantee any minimum number of:
-
views;
-
impressions;
-
followers;
-
likes;
-
shares;
-
comments;
-
purchases;
-
unlocks;
-
subscribers;
-
customers; or
-
earnings.
You remain free to promote your own Content and share links to it outside the Service.
3. Your Promises About Rights
For every item of Content you upload, you represent and warrant that the following are true.
3.1 You May Publish It
You created the Content, or you have every right, license, consent, authorization, and permission necessary to:
-
upload it;
-
publish it;
-
distribute it;
-
monetize it where applicable; and
-
grant us the rights described in this Agreement.
This applies to all elements of your Content, including:
-
scripts;
-
stories;
-
plots;
-
characters;
-
footage;
-
photographs;
-
graphics;
-
artwork;
-
music;
-
sound effects;
-
voices;
-
performances;
-
fonts;
-
trademarks; and
-
any other material.
3.2 People Who Appear in Content
Everyone whose identifiable image, likeness, performance, or voice appears in your Content must have agreed to the use and distribution permitted under this Agreement where consent is legally required.
For anyone under 18, you must have all legally required consent from their parent or legal guardian.
If we reasonably request proof of consent, you must provide it.
3.3 Real People and AI
Your Content must not depict, imitate, clone, alter, or simulate the face, body, likeness, or voice of a real identifiable person using AI, synthetic media, deepfake technology, voice cloning, or other similar tools unless you have all legally required rights and written consent for that specific use.
The following are prohibited even where consent is claimed, unless we expressly permit them under a separate policy:
-
AI-generated or AI-altered depictions of real public figures or celebrities;
-
any real person depicted in sexual, nude, or sexually suggestive Content; and
-
any synthetic or altered sexual depiction of a real minor.
Additional restrictions may apply under our Community Guidelines and Likeness & Voice Rights Policy.
3.4 Other People's Works
Your Content must not unlawfully copy, reproduce, adapt, distribute, or otherwise use another person's copyrighted work, trademark, character, franchise, brand, or other protected material without the rights or permissions required by law.
3.5 Music and Audio
Any music, sound recording, sound effect, or other audio included in your Content must be:
-
created by you;
-
properly licensed for your intended use;
-
in the public domain; or
-
otherwise lawfully usable under terms that permit its use and distribution through the Service.
3.6 AI Tools
If you use generative AI, synthetic media, voice-generation tools, image-generation tools, video-generation tools, or similar technologies to create Content, you must use those tools in accordance with their applicable terms and policies.
You are responsible for confirming that those terms permit the commercial use, publication, distribution, and monetization you make through the Service.
You understand that laws regarding copyright and other intellectual property rights in AI-generated Content may vary by jurisdiction and may change over time.
Some AI-generated material may not qualify for copyright protection.
You are responsible for any difference between the rights you claim in Content and the rights you actually possess.
3.7 Proof of Rights
If we reasonably ask, you must promptly provide evidence supporting your rights to the Content.
This may include:
-
licenses;
-
contracts;
-
model releases;
-
voice releases;
-
parental consents;
-
copyright permissions;
-
music licenses;
-
AI tool licenses;
-
project files; or
-
other reasonable documentation.
If you cannot provide reasonable proof when requested, we may restrict or remove the Content.
4. Content Rules, Ratings and AI Disclosure
4.1 Community Rules
Your Content must comply with our Community Guidelines and all other applicable platform policies.
Among other things, the Service currently prohibits:
-
nudity;
-
pornography;
-
sexual content;
-
sexual exploitation;
-
sexualization of minors; and
-
other prohibited Content described in our Community Guidelines.
Nothing sexual involving minors is permitted under any circumstances.
4.2 Ratings
Content uploaded to the Service must currently be suitable for a general audience aged 13 and over.
Mature or 18+ Content is not currently accepted unless we expressly introduce a separate program allowing it.
You must accurately provide any age-rating or Content information requested during upload.
We may apply, modify, or override a Content rating where we believe another rating is more appropriate.
4.3 AI Disclosure
When uploading Content, you must accurately tell us whether the Content was created primarily or materially using AI tools where our upload process requests this information.
We may display a label such as:
"Made with AI"
or another similar disclosure.
You must not intentionally remove, obscure, alter, or falsify provenance information embedded in Content, including C2PA Content Credentials or comparable authenticity metadata, where doing so would violate our policies or applicable law.
4.4 Honest Listings
Your:
-
title;
-
cover;
-
thumbnail;
-
description;
-
tags;
-
categories;
-
credits; and
-
other metadata
must accurately represent your Content.
You must not use materially misleading titles, covers, descriptions, or tags merely to attract clicks or views.
You must not present fictional, synthetic, manipulated, or AI-generated material as authentic news footage, actual events, or documentary evidence where doing so would materially mislead viewers.
5. Review, Takedowns and Enforcement
5.1 Review
We may review Content using automated systems, human moderators, or both.
Content that passes automated checks may become available shortly after upload.
Content that requires additional review may appear as "In Review" until we complete our review.
Content that appears to clearly violate our policies may be blocked from publication.
We may also review already-published Content:
-
randomly;
-
when it is reported;
-
when we receive a rights complaint;
-
when automated systems identify potential violations; or
-
whenever we otherwise determine that review is appropriate.
Passing review does not mean that we have verified that you own the Content, that the Content is lawful, or that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
You remain responsible for your Content.
5.2 Our Actions
If we reasonably believe that Content:
-
violates this Agreement;
-
violates another platform policy;
-
violates applicable law;
-
infringes another person's rights; or
-
creates legal, safety, reputational, or operational risk,
we may take appropriate action.
Actions may include:
-
changing the Content rating;
-
adding labels or warnings;
-
limiting distribution;
-
removing Content from recommendations;
-
limiting search visibility;
-
disabling sharing;
-
suspending monetization;
-
holding related earnings;
-
removing Content;
-
restricting your account;
-
suspending your account; or
-
terminating your account.
Where appropriate, we will notify you of the action and the reason for it in accordance with our Enforcement & Appeals Policy.
Where Content involves suspected child sexual exploitation, abuse of a minor, or an imminent risk of serious harm, we may take immediate action and make reports to NCMEC, law enforcement, or other authorities where required or permitted by law.
5.3 Rights Claims
Copyright complaints and notices are handled under our Copyright & DMCA Policy.
Claims relating to a person's:
-
face;
-
likeness;
-
body;
-
identity; or
-
voice
are handled under our Likeness & Voice Rights Policy.
We may temporarily restrict, disable, or remove Content while a claim is being investigated.
5.4 Appeals
You may appeal eligible moderation or enforcement decisions in accordance with our Enforcement & Appeals Policy.
6. Free Episodes, Ads and Earnings
6.1 How Viewers Watch
You may be able to choose how much of a series or other Content viewers can access for free, subject to the features available through the Service.
For example, you may be able to make selected episodes free.
Other episodes may, depending on the features we offer:
-
become available after a viewer watches an advertisement;
-
require virtual coins or another form of payment;
-
be included in a subscription;
-
be offered for purchase or paid unlocking; or
-
use another monetization model described in the Service.
You may choose to make all eligible episodes free where the Service permits this.
We may still display advertisements before, during, after, or around free Content.
6.2 No Creator Earnings During Beta
While the Service is in beta, we currently do not pay creators for views, advertisements, transactions, or other activity unless we separately agree otherwise in writing.
Revenue generated from advertising or other sources during the beta period belongs to us unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
6.3 Creator Earnings After Monetization Launches
We plan to offer creator monetization features.
These may include, for example:
-
paid Content;
-
episode unlocking;
-
virtual coins;
-
subscriptions;
-
advertising revenue sharing;
-
creator support or tipping;
-
fan memberships; or
-
other monetization methods.
We currently anticipate that certain monetization programs may allow creators to retain 80% of Net Revenue, but no revenue share becomes effective merely because this Agreement refers to it.
Creator earnings begin only after:
-
we launch the applicable monetization program;
-
we publish the applicable Monetization Terms; and
-
you accept those Monetization Terms.
The Monetization Terms will describe matters such as:
-
pricing;
-
virtual currencies;
-
revenue share;
-
the definition of Net Revenue;
-
refunds;
-
chargebacks;
-
taxes;
-
app-store commissions;
-
payment processing fees;
-
fraud adjustments;
-
holding periods;
-
minimum payout thresholds;
-
payout timing;
-
payment providers;
-
identity verification; and
-
tax documentation.
Where there is a conflict between this Agreement and the Monetization Terms concerning creator earnings, the Monetization Terms control.
The current terms are the Creator Monetization Terms. You must accept them before you can set prices, connect a payout account or withdraw earnings.
6.4 Artificial Activity
You must not artificially inflate:
-
views;
-
watch time;
-
completion rates;
-
likes;
-
shares;
-
comments;
-
follows;
-
subscriptions;
-
purchases;
-
unlocks;
-
advertisement views; or
-
other engagement metrics.
Prohibited activity includes:
-
bots;
-
click farms;
-
paid traffic schemes designed to manipulate metrics;
-
automated viewing;
-
repeated self-viewing intended to inflate metrics;
-
coordinated fraudulent activity; or
-
other artificial manipulation.
We may exclude artificial or suspicious activity from:
-
analytics;
-
recommendation systems;
-
creator rankings;
-
advertising calculations; and
-
creator earnings.
We may also take enforcement action under our Enforcement & Appeals Policy.
6.5 Creator-Driven Promotion
You may promote your own Content and creator profile outside the Service.
You may share links through lawful channels such as:
-
social media;
-
websites;
-
blogs;
-
messaging services;
-
newsletters;
-
online communities; and
-
other promotional channels.
You may direct users to Wondali to watch, follow, unlock, purchase, or otherwise engage with your Content when those features are available.
We do not guarantee that we will independently promote your Content or provide any minimum amount of traffic, views, audience growth, or sales.
7. Upload Limits
We may establish limits relating to:
-
individual file size;
-
total uploaded storage;
-
video duration;
-
episode length;
-
series length;
-
file formats;
-
resolutions;
-
upload frequency; and
-
other technical requirements.
We may change these limits from time to time.
Current requirements will generally be shown in the creator tools or upload interface.
Content that has received little or no viewing activity for an extended period may be moved to lower-cost or slower storage.
This may result in longer loading or playback startup times.
8. Responsibility, Termination and Disputes
8.1 Indemnity
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, and service providers from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, judgments, fines, penalties, and reasonable attorneys' fees arising out of or relating to:
-
your Content;
-
your breach of this Agreement;
-
your violation of applicable law; or
-
your violation of another person's rights.
This includes claims involving:
-
copyright;
-
trademark;
-
publicity rights;
-
privacy rights;
-
likeness rights;
-
voice rights;
-
contractual rights; and
-
other intellectual property or personal rights.
8.2 Disclaimers and Limits
The disclaimers, warranty exclusions, and limitations of liability contained in our Terms of Service apply to this Agreement.
We do not guarantee:
-
any particular number of views;
-
recommendation or placement;
-
audience growth;
-
creator popularity;
-
follower growth;
-
Content sales;
-
monetization eligibility;
-
advertising revenue; or
-
creator earnings.
8.3 Termination
You may stop uploading Content at any time.
You may remove your Content subject to the features and limitations of the Service.
We may suspend or terminate this Agreement, your ability to upload Content, monetization privileges, or your account if:
-
you materially breach this Agreement;
-
you violate our policies;
-
your Content creates material legal or safety risk;
-
we are legally required to do so; or
-
we discontinue all or part of the Service.
Termination does not affect rights and obligations that arose before termination.
8.4 Survival
Sections 2.4, 3, 5, 8, and 9, and any other provisions that by their nature are intended to survive termination, will continue to apply after this Agreement ends.
The limited retention rights described in Section 2.4 also survive termination as necessary to give effect to that Section.
8.5 Changes
We may update this Agreement from time to time.
For material changes, we will generally provide at least 30 days' notice before the changes take effect.
We may provide notice:
-
by email;
-
through the Service;
-
through creator tools; or
-
by another reasonable method.
We may make changes more quickly where necessary to:
-
comply with law;
-
address urgent safety issues;
-
respond to fraud or abuse;
-
protect users; or
-
address significant legal or security risks.
Where required, we may ask you to accept updated terms before continuing to upload or monetize Content.
8.6 Disputes
Any dispute arising from or relating to this Agreement, your Content, or your use of the Service will be resolved in accordance with Section 13 of our Terms of Service.
If Section 13 of the Terms of Service contains an arbitration agreement, class-action waiver, governing-law provision, or forum-selection provision, those provisions also apply to this Agreement to the extent permitted by law.
