Remix Terms
Draft v0.1. These documents are awaiting legal review. Details in square brackets will be completed before launch. The agreement text is currently available in English only.
Effective date: October 1, 2026 · Version: 0.1
These Remix Terms are between you and [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] ("we", "us", "our"). They apply when you download another creator's work on Wondali to make a remix, when you publish a remix, and when you let others remix your own work. They add to the Terms of Service, the Creator Agreement, the Community Guidelines and, where money is involved, the Creator Monetization Terms and the Virtual Coins Terms. Where they differ about remixes, these Remix Terms control.
In short: the original creator decides whether and how their work can be remixed. The license you see when you download or pay is the license you get. Under revenue share, you also pay once in coins and the original creator earns a part of what your remix earns; under a paid license, you pay once in coins and keep all of your remix's creator earnings.
1. Definitions
"Original work" is a work published on Wondali whose creator allows remixes. "Original creator" is its creator. "Remix" is a new work you publish on Wondali that you made with material from an original work and that you linked to it when you created it. "Material" is what we let you download from an original work: episodes, the world text, and character and scene images.
2. The license the original creator gives
2.1 Remix license. The original creator chooses one of these licenses for each work: remixes off; free for non-commercial use; free for commercial use; revenue share; or paid. By choosing a license other than "off", the original creator gives each user who obtains access under it a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free (except as these terms say) license to use the material to make remixes, and to publish, distribute and monetize those remixes on Wondali, under the conditions of that license.
2.2 The license you get is fixed. The license, the revenue share percent and the price that apply to you are the ones shown when you download the material or pay for access, and they are recorded with your remix when you create it. The original creator may later change the license only to a stricter one. That change applies to new downloads and new remixes, not to access you already have or remixes you already created.
2.3 What you may download. You may download the free episodes of the original work, episodes you have unlocked, the world text and the character and scene images that the original creator uploaded. You may use the material only to make remixes on Wondali. You may not share, sell or publish the downloaded files themselves, or use them to train AI models outside Wondali.
2.4 The original creator's promise. By allowing remixes, the original creator confirms that they have the rights needed to give this license, including for any people, voices and music in the work, as the Creator Agreement requires.
3. Free licenses
3.1 Free for commercial use. You may remix the work at no cost and charge for your remix, and you keep the usual creator share of what it earns.
3.2 Free for non-commercial use. You may remix the work at no cost for any purpose that is not intended to make a profit. This means you must not charge viewers for your remix, run sponsorships in it, or use it to advertise products or services. Breaking this condition is a breach of these terms, and we may unprice or remove the remix and apply our Enforcement & Appeals Policy.
4. Revenue share
4.0 One-time fee. A revenue share license also has a one-time download price in coins, paid before you can download the material or link a remix. That payment is split as in section 5: we keep 20% and the original creator receives 80%. Works that were set to revenue share before a price existed stay free to download.
4.1 How earnings are split. When a viewer spends coins on a remix made under a revenue share license, we keep 20% as for any other sale. Of the 80% creator share, the original creator earns the percent set in the license (between 1% and 90%), and you earn the rest. Shares are calculated in whole coins: the original creator's part is rounded down, and the remainder is yours.
4.2 Same rules as other earnings. Both parts can be withdrawn as soon as they are recorded, and are reduced by refunds and chargebacks, in the same way and in the same proportion, under the Creator Monetization Terms. The original creator's part appears on their earnings page as remix income from your remix.
4.3 Your price. You set the price of your remix. The original creator has no say in it.
5. Paid license
5.1 Paying for access. Under a paid license, you pay the price shown, in coins, once. You then have permanent access to download the material of that work and to create any number of remixes of it. Of the coins you pay, we keep 20% and the original creator earns 80%, under the Creator Monetization Terms.
5.2 After you pay. Your remixes of that work owe nothing more to the original creator: you earn the usual creator share of what they earn. Coins spent on access are not refundable, as the Virtual Coins Terms explain for any coin purchase. If the payment that funded those coins is refunded or charged back, the original creator's earnings from your access are reduced in proportion.
5.3 You must accept these terms first. We ask you to accept these Remix Terms before you pay for access, and we record your acceptance.
6. When the original work is removed
6.1 Your remix stays. If the original work is taken down, blocked or deleted, remixes already published remain available, unless they are removed for their own reasons.
6.2 New downloads stop. Nobody can download material from a removed work, and new remixes of it cannot be created.
6.3 Revenue share continues. Under a revenue share license, the original creator keeps earning their share of your remix's sales after the original work is removed, in the same way as before. Earnings of a creator whose work was removed for fraud or a rights violation may be held under the Creator Monetization Terms on paused payouts.
7. Credit and limits
7.1 Credit. Every remix shows that it is a remix and links to the original work. You must not hide or misstate where your remix comes from.
7.2 No remixes of remixes. A remix cannot itself be remixed for now. We may change this later.
7.3 Review. Remixes are reviewed and moderated like any other work. Approval of the original work does not mean your remix will be approved.
8. Your responsibility
You are responsible for your remix, including anything you add to the material. It must follow the Community Guidelines, the Copyright & DMCA Policy and the Likeness & Voice Rights Policy. If a rights claim is made against material from the original work, we may take down the remix while it is resolved.
9. Changes
We may change these Remix Terms. If a change affects your rights or what you pay or earn, we will tell you in advance and ask you to accept the new version before your next paid access. Changes never apply to access you already have.
